This program series allows kids to explore a featured artist's work, how their background inspires them, and the cultural significance of their art form. Enjoy hands-on workshops to experience these cultures firsthand. This month features Sandra Portal-Andreu, a Miami-based Interdisciplinary Artist and Choreographer of Colombian/Cuban heritage, delves into the intersection of community, social practice, and identity in her creative endeavors. Her artistic expression, which spans performance, multimedia, and immersive practices, explores profound themes such as culture, motherhood, and nature. Sandra independently conceives and showcases her work within the community, seamlessly blending dance with dialogue to foster audience-engaged performance activations.
