Join us every Friday for a high-energy experience designed to get little bodies moving! Through playful movement, music, and hands-on activities, children will build coordination, balance, and body awareness. From freeze dance and ribbon twirling to water bin play, tossing games, and exploring the difference between heavy and light, each session is packed with gross motor fun, sensory exploration, and plenty of reasons to wiggle, jump, and groove.

Mini Mondays are a place for infants and toddlers to grow and develop through play. Join us every Monday for a program full of play-based activities specifically designed for children from birth to five.

Baby STEAM: Where STEM meets the ARTS – a first step into STEAM discovery

Baby STEAM is an enriching weekly program designed to captivate our youngest visitors while showcasing Miami Children’s Museum’s commitment to playful, early learning. With a unique blend of science, technology, engineering, art, and math—tailored for ages 1 to 3—each session offers sensory-rich, age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. By highlighting gallery exploration, art integration, and interactive storytelling, Baby STEAM positions the Museum as a leader in early childhood education and STEAM programming, while providing valuable content for family engagement, sponsorship visibility, and community outreach.

Get into the holiday spirit with December’s Cooking Club as we make Holiday Pretzel Trees! Little chefs will dip or drizzle pretzels with melted candy, decorate them with colorful sprinkles or mini candies, and finish with a licorice “string” to turn each treat into a sweet, festive ornament. It’s a cheerful, low-mess activity that’s fun, creative, and perfect for celebrating the season together!

Miami Children’s Museum will serve as an official Florida judging site for LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s Junior Galaxy Explorer competition on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Children ages 6–12 will bring their custom LEGO spacecrafts to the museum for onsite judging by a panel that includes a LEGOLAND Master Model Builder, an astronaut, and one MCM representative. One winner from our location will advance as an official Junior Galaxy Explorer and be featured in LEGOLAND’s media and grand-opening celebrations.

Join us every Second Sunday of the month from 9:00 AM to 11AM for exclusive early access to the Museum before we open to the public. It's a special time for you and your family to explore, play, and enjoy the exhibits at your own pace. Plus, we're serving complimentary coffee to help parents start the morning off right!

Join us this weekend for a joyful Festival of Lights celebration at the Miami Children’s Museum! Families can explore a Hanukkah-themed sensory bin filled with shimmering blue and gold treasures, create and spin their very own dreidels, make colorful candles to take home, and gather for an engaging storytime featuring beloved Hanukkah tales.

Donate a toy to our TCT Afterschool Program and enjoy decorating the wrapping paper for your gift. Our TCT Afterschool Program offers free aftercare for families in underserved communities, giving parents access to support they might not otherwise afford. Students receive a safe place to learn and grow while exploring culture and the arts through theater, visual arts, dance, classical music, and more. Your toy will help make a child’s Holiday season feel truly special.

Celebrate the season with a cozy, hands-on latke-making session. Families will grate, mix, and shape their own potato latkes before sizzling them to golden perfection. As the kitchen fills with that classic holiday aroma, we’ll talk about the tradition behind latkes and why they’re enjoyed during this festive time of year. Everyone leaves with a warm bite, a little cooking confidence, and a whole lot of holiday cheer.

Meet Santa at 11:30am and 4:00pm, listen to holiday tunes with New World Symphony at 11:00am, immerse yourself in Hanukkah themed sensory bins courtesy of PJ Library, roll candles, cook latkes, paint snowflakes and more! Join us for a special Storytime Tuesday celebration of Hanukkah! Our friends from PJ Library will lead the first storytime at 11:00 AM, sharing a heartwarming Hanukkah tale followed by delicious snacks and a festive craft to keep the holiday spirit shining bright.

Join us in creating your very own gingerbread houses!

Step into a frosty world of discovery with a weekend full of snow-themed STEAM fun. Kids will experiment with icy reactions, build their own “snow” using science, and explore winter engineering through playful challenges like snowball towers and mini igloos.

Join us for a holly jolly celebration! Families can enjoy candle making and air-dried clay ornament crafting, meet Santa for a magical photo moment, and gather for a heartwarming holiday storytime. The day wraps up with joyful Christmas caroling throughout the museum.

Step into a world of creativity and wonder at MiChiMu’s Winter Toy Workshop! In honor of Ujima, the third day of Kwanzaa, families will come together for a cozy toy-themed storytime and a hands-on making experience that celebrates collective work and shared purpose. Children and caregivers will design and craft their own treasures through recycled toy building and felt doll creation, working side by side to bring their ideas to life. The workshop encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and caring for our community, beautiful reflections of Ujima.

3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ring in the New Year (a few hours early) with a countdown and our biggest and best balloon drop yet surrounded by confetti! Join our Theater Troupe for fun during the Pre-Show and dress up for the occasion with our accessory giveaways (while supplies last). After the balloon drop, stick around for fun activities to help you continue the celebrations.
