Outreach workshops in this category are based on the Museum's "All About Art" exhibit which explores how light, color, texture, space, and form guide the creative process. Each activity is 45-mintues in length, facilitated by a Miami Children's Museum Educator who brings materials for up to 25 participants.

Focused movement may directly benefit physical health, but it also strengthens memory, perception, and even emotions. Combine it with art to create some truly memorable projects.
Use a variety of motor skills and motion plus a moving light source (like a flashlight, glow stick, light brush, and fiber optics) to create an image using a long exposure camera. Each participant takes home their special photograph.

Journey through a history of animation. Then draw 11 cells and spin in our zoetrope to see how motion gives the illusion of movement. Participants will take home in a flip-book and/or an animated gif.
