DECEMBER 30, 2020: Miami Children’s Museum Family Fun Food Distribution Drive-Thru

Miami Children’s Museum’s remains dedicated to serving the community and fulfilling its mission, while our building is temporarily closed to the public to reduce the spread of Covid-19, especially during the holiday season.

Miami Children’s Museum recognizes that so many families are in need now more than ever.  The Museum has partnered with Farm Share, Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Susan & Richard Lampen, and Miami Dade County to help South Floridians facing a hungry start to the New Year.  With that in mind, the Museum will host the Family Fun Food Distribution Drive-Thru on Wednesday, December 30 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Museum (980 MacArthur Causeway) on Watson Island in Miami.

The Museum will be giving away free grocery packages to the first 500 families in need.  As a special treat, the Family Fun Food Distribution will also include a New Year’s Eve family fun kit that will be distributed to each family. The goal is to provide everything a family would need to create a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration at home.

The event is set up to be a contactless drive-thru delivery.  There will be food packages for up to 500 families on a first come first served basis.  Cars must enter the drive to the Museum from the old A1A and form a line.  Guests must stay in their cars at all times and when it is their turn pull up to the distribution point with their windows closed and trunk open.  After distribution is complete they can then exit the facility.  No walk-ups will be allowed.  Rain or shine.

For more information about the drive-thru, please call: 305-373-KIDS (5437) ext. 128 or visit www.miamichildrensmuseum.org.
