November is Native American Heritage Month.  Miami Children’s Museum is celebrating all month long… virtually!  They have programmed a whole variety of activities that will be available on their website and social media channels through their Museum at Home initiative, that is sure to provide a greater understanding of the Native American experience.

With the help of friends from the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian and the sponsorship of Capital One®, they have curated some really fun, authentic experiences. Check back daily to enjoy stories told by children’s author, Gerald Hausman, and other various creation stories from different cultures around the nation. Learn games from the southwest region, create artwork inspired by contemporary Native American artists, and experiment in the kitchen with a traditional Navajo recipe. Create crafts inspired by the Seminole Tribe of South Florida and use STEM skills to recreate different types of traditional Native American homes.  It’s all happening online at Miami Children’s Museum: www.miamichildrensmuseum.org.

Though temporarily closed to the public, Miami Children’s Museum’s exciting “Museum at Home” online program continues to bring all the experiences of the Museum to the safety and comfort of one’s own home.  Among the ways to access the program and participate are:
