The Museum hosts birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00AM - 1:00PM or 3:00PM - 5:00PM.

Birthday Party Packages

Basic Party Package

Starting at $600

Admission for up to 60 guests (plus the birthday child and parents)

  • Private party room for 2 hours                                                   
  • Assistance from a dedicated Museum host during the party
  • Decorated party room with table covers, balloons, and paper goods in your choice of colors, as well as utensils
  • Make and Take Art Project (upgrade available)
  • Museum playtime in the form of free exploration or a guided tour
  • Distribution of cupcakes or cake brought by you and Happy Birthday song
  • Up to 30-minute setup/breakdown time with Museum staff assistance
  • A special gift for the birthday child ‍

Please note: Food and beverages must be ordered from our Pizza or Subway catering menus ONLY, for an additional cost. No other outside food and beverage is allowed, with the exception of cupcakes and/or cake and other items to accommodate dietary restrictions/allergies, including Kosher/Halal items.

Double Party Package

Starting at $1,050

Admission for up to 120 guests (plus the birthday child and parents)

  • Extra Large Private party room for 2 hours
  • Assistance from a dedicated Museum host during the party
  • Decorated party room with table covers, balloons, and paper goods in your choice of colors, as well as utensils
  • Make and Take Art Project (upgrade available)
  • Museum playtime in the form of free exploration or a guided tour
  • Distribution of cupcakes or cake brought by you and Happy Birthday song
  • Up to 30-minute setup/breakdown time with museum staff assistance
  • A special gift for the birthday child

- Themed Gift Bags (Dino, Mermaid, Princess, Safari, and Superheroes) from our Gift Shop: $6 per bag (recommended for ages 3 and up)

- Upgraded Craft Activity: Make & Take Slime: $75 (Basic Party) | $115 (Double Party)

- Baby Dino Photo-Op (15 Minutes): $65 ($50 with Dino Theme Add-On)

Policies & Procedures

Below are some important things to know when planning your birthday party with us:

  • Catering is an additional cost and must be selected from the party menu. However, you are welcome to bring your own cake and/or order cupcakes.
  • Food and beverages are not permitted in the Museum galleries and must be kept in the party room at all times.
  • We do not allow confetti or glitter and tape is not permitted on the walls or doors. Piñatas must be pull-string only. We do not inflate additional balloons in house.
  • Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted on the premises.
  • Outside entertainment is not permitted.
  • A fee of $14 will be charged for each additional guest over the package amount up to the room's maximum capacity
  • All party decorations and props are museum property. A $5 per item fee will be charged to the card on file should any items be damaged or removed.
  • Birthday parties are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays only. We encourage you to schedule your party at least two weeks in advance, as we fill-up quickly.
  • Reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Final payment and party menu selections are due 5 business days before your scheduled party. Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Cancellations will not be refunded. If a cancellation occurs two weeks prior to the date of the party, payments will be converted to a credit which may be used on another party later.
  • Parking fees are not included in your birthday package. The Miami Parking Authority parking lot is located on the east side of Miami Children’s Museum for patrons and guests. For your convenience, there are two automated pay stations in the lot. Rates are $2 per hour, seven days a week. For more information please call 305-373-6789 or visit the Miami Parking Authority
